Daniel's course also takes you step by step through some of the most frustrating problems that all dog owners face including aggression, chewing, digging, barking, biting and separation anxiety.

The focus of this guide is not only how to train your dog, but how to train yourself as a dog owner. This is the key to successful dog training as you can have the worlds most well-trained puppy, but with an ill-informed owner major issues will still arise.

He starts by going through how to chose and where to get your puppy, making your home dog proof. House training is next - then on to more advanced stuff but dealt with in really step by step way which is easily understood and implemented. Included here is dog behavioral problems like aggression, dominance, barking, chewing, and digging. He teaches obedience commands and also speaks about health related problems. Last but by no means least he talks of advanced commands and tricks.

HIS AMAZING TALK ABOUT DOG WHISPERING IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY ON ITS OWN - TRUST ME.

About Daniel Stevens: Not surprisingly he is a professional dog trainer in his native Australia and also a renowned Author in his own right.

If you would prefer it, here is a more detailed Review of Secrets to Dog Training:

The first thing that strikes me is the excellent detail throughout the 156 pages in the book in dealing with the prevention of and dealing with behavior problems of dogs.

I have a particularly energetic Jack Russell Terrier who, having come from a Dog Rescue Centre, had quite a few nervous issues. I have searched the Internet for help with our pooch and found nothing to touch The Secrets to Dog Training and absolutely fantastic value for money.

The Author, Daniel Stevens is a Professional Dog Trainer and regular Author and this shines through in the minute detail he goes into with every facet of the dogs training and to me, without any real experience like most who will read this, everything seems 100% believable with everything tried and tested many times over.

I was pleased and totally surprised that there is also a 30 minute downloadable video which gives real life examples of bad behavior and their solutions and remedies to combat them.

So, what else is covered in the book?

It begins with new dog owner advice - how to choose your puppy or dog, the best places to get one from, breed information, puppy/dog-proofing your home, the first time a vet is required, housetraining etc. I then moves on to the more advanced things - behavioral problems (such as aggression, dominance, chewing, digging, excessive barking, separation anxiety, to name a few), intermediate-level obedience commands, health-related dog problems (allergies, cat/dog coexistence, fleas, heatstroke, and so on), and advanced commands and tricks.

The afforementioned video gives a brilliant insight into a dog's quest to be the alpha dog and how you can prevent this. Its quick steps to stop bad behaviors such as housebreaking right through to leash pulling are so simple you can start trying them out on your dog straight away.

There is also a brilliant entire section on dog whispering which, in case you're unsure what this is about, like I was, is a method of dog training based on a philosophy of clear communication and mutual respect. It’s been popularized in recent years by Cesar Millan (“The Dog Whisperer”), and is becoming increasingly well-known as an alternative and humane method for disciplining and training your dog.

Daniel Stevens explains the background of the technique, how to utilize voice and body language to your best advantage, and how to use the technique to calmly, assertively, and effectively correct and train your dog. Step-by-set instructions are included for the common commands (sit, down, come, stay, quiet, etc). I was amazed how effective this method was when I tried the whispering with growing confidence - I highly recommend this!

Most of the packages on the internet contain freebies in one form or another and most in my experience are fairly useless, but here, great - the free stuff is actually pretty useful.

The book itself costs $39.95. For this price, you get a complete and detailed manual on training your dog, preventing and handling behavioral problems, and a whole bunch of general-knowledge tips and advice.

You also get a handful of practical freebies: four bonus books, dealing respectively with advanced housetraining how-to’s and troubleshooting (including both the crate- and paper-training methods); a detailed study on resolving canine aggression; how to effectively groom your dog (including information on coat care for specific breeds, dental care, and nail-clipping how-to’s); and finally, how to begin training your dog for security work.

Finally a huge bonus: A personalized consultation with a member of the Kingdom of Pets team. If you’ve got an issue with your dog that you’d like some individual attention on, you can send them a quick email and receive a personalized, thorough reply packed with expert advice and practical tips.

In a nutshell: highly recommended.
